Vancouver, BC - Completed 2018
We worked with Vancouver’s DYS Architecture, Mary Chernoff to create a space the helped change the face of mental health, including reducing the stigma and institutional nature of mental health facilities, and increasing transparency. The concept focuses on warmth and texture in nature through reverence for natural beauty, strength and resilience. By using landscape stratas such as beach, water, cedar, and sky, we gave each floor a unique identity. In Musqueam culture, we belong to the land, river and living creatures; we are those places and beings: both weaver & web.
