Why Get Modern?

Polykar came to Contemporary Office Interiors looking for more than a furniture provider; they wanted a Trusted Partner in sustainable furniture solutions. Wanting to ensure their office was an extension of their brand values, Polykar knew they were looking for solutions with sustainable initiatives which did not sacrifice quality.

What was included?

This opportunity includes furniture settings for their newly built 50,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility in Edmonton, AB, opening in summer 2022. Settings included approximately 6,800 sq.ft of offices area over two floors, private offices, open area workstations, task and guest seating, a large Production Lunchroom, Admin kitchen, small meeting room, and the CEO’s office.

How did we help?

As the client was looking for a product solution that complemented the dynamic, modern aesthetic of their new building - a space that promoted employee well-being and was backed by a strong sustainability platform - COI proposed Herman Miller as our solution and provided a blend of product from the Herman Miller Group, including height-adjustable desking, laminate case goods & storage, Aeron Task Seating made with ocean-bound plastics, guest and lounge seating from Hay, NaughtOne, and Geiger, and Headway & Eames-series tables in various areas throughout the space.

“It wasn’t just furniture we were looking for, as we believe the environment people go to work in makes a difference – it isn’t ‘just’ a table and chairs that we looked for, but a space where people sit, talk, and come up with great ideas. We felt that COI understood that. Being a Herman Miller supplier definitely piqued our interest from the start. The Herman Miller name speaks for itself, you know you are getting a modern, high-quality product, but when we heard they use recycled plastics from the ocean to make their chairs, it was a no-brainer for us. Quality and sustainability are at the core of Polykar’s values, and we love to partner with companies that share those same values.”
